"Is it just me or is it getting crazier out there?" -the joker
Lisa Charlotte Friederich
Lisa studied acting at the HfMDK Stuttgart and Applied Theater Studies at the JLU Gießen. After guest engagements in Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and Heidelberg, she was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Lübeck Theater from 2010 to 2012. Her filmography as an actress includes roles in “Tatort”, “Soko Köln”, “The Public Prosecutor”, “The Dead of Salzburg”, and many more. The feature film "Fritz Lang", in which she plays the female lead, won the Hessian Film Prize in 2016. Her work as a director is also characterized by a wide spectrum, ranging from the performative music theater format to narrative feature film production. In 2019 she wrote and directed the multimedia music theater piece "Castor&&Pollux", which premiered at the Heidelberg Spring International Music Festival. She worked several times with the composer and director Heiner Goebbels and met the musician Rike Huy during one of these music theater productions. Together they produced LIVE, Lisa's debut film as a director. LIVE, in whose script Lisa tells an unexpected parallel to the events of the pandemic in 2020, premiered in January 2020 at the Max Ophüls Prize in the competition and won the Regional Long Film Prize of the Dr. Marschner Foundation at the LICHTER Filmfest Frankfurt International. The theatrical release of LIVE took place - ironically and very appropriately for the film - virtually in December 2020 due to the pandemic situation.
